Filthdigger was exhumed as a side project in 2012, by the infamous Nekromizör. The sole purpose was to make death metal as
it should be; rotten, hard and fast.
After several small demo releases, Filthdigger finally unleashed Damned By The Living Dead in 2016/17. The ritual ended for a short while back in 2017, but Filthdigger arose from the grave in 2018. Now the chopping spree is on. Beware.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names.
